Designed and built by Steve on an irregular shaped 750m2 plot in a very sensitive pocket of Eltham, this project presented many challenges to design the home within a dedicated building envelope.
With an awkward orientation and the need to articulate the facades on all four sides of the dwelling, the inclusion of large expanses and selective positioning of glass was utilised to capture the evading sun into the open design of the home. A simple palette of colours and materials used repetitiously throughout the home provided a light filled and spacious home.
The landscaping incorporating the use of timber decks and a pool located against the living room provides a seamless transition of inside / outside spaces.
